Biography

Adolfo Suárez Perret was born on October 27, 1930. The only child of Luis Suárez, from Argentina, and Lorenza Perret, from Peru. At the age of six he was orphaned as a father.

His beginnings in billiards date back to 1944, when he was 14 years old. His first strokes were made in the "Cuzco" billiard room in downtown Lima and the people who guided him in the beginning were the billiard players Amador Benítez and Jorge Urbina Polo and Manuel Montesinos (who was the first President of the Peruvian Billiard Federation founded on May 18, 1947); as well as former president FPB Amadeo Grados Penalillo and Augusto Nanetti Borda.

He also won the gold medal at the Bolivarian Games in Caracas in 1951 , in the free carom modality, it was the first international title that Peruvian billiards achieved. In addition to five South American Titles in the Three-Cushion category and on one occasion Latin American Champion and Champion of Champions of America, in addition to different national titles (24).

He was an extraordinary fantasy player and dominated all forms of billiards. He was one of the most beloved athletes in Peru, for his simplicity, great charisma and humility.
