Antonio Fraguas 'Forges' was born on January 17, 1942 in Madrid, Spain. He was an actor and writer, known for El bengador Gusticiero y su pastelera madre (1977), Country, S.A. (1975) and Forgeseando (2018). He was married to Pilar Garrido Cendoya. He died on February 22, 2018 in Madrid, Madrid.

Spanish graphic humorist, born in Madrid, on 17 January 1942, in the bosom of a large family, whose name is Antonio Fraguas de Pablo, though it is better known by the pseudonym of "Forges". Come from translate his surname of Catalan language. During the primary studies was the image consultant partner Alfredo Fraile. He/She studied until fourth and revalidation and began studies of telecommunications, but he/she left to devote himself to reading and studying on their own.
In 1964, he started to publish drawings, the first one, on May 14 of that year in the people newspaper. Subsequently he/she continued publishing in Arriba, La Codorniz, Tele-guia, Saturday graphic, new time, already, and information, where his "forgendros" gave him great popularity. After information was incorporated in 1982 to daily-16 and change-16, means that was working until 1989, date in which left them following the dismissal of its director Pedro J. Ramírez.
With the emergence of the newspaper, El Mundo on October 29, 1989, went on to publish his humorous illustrations in such environment led by Pedro J. Ramírez. In this publication, which also was a small shareholder, remained until February 1995, putting an end to 13 years of collaboration with Pedro J. Ramírez. June 25 he/she started to publish his graphic jokes in the pages of the daily El Pais daily.

In 1992 he/she published his first novel, twelve of Babylon. Forges possesses several awards as the award for freedom of expression, of the Union of journalists of Spain. the prize Antonio de Sancha, of Spanish editors Guild, "for its permanent defense of the book world"; the Gat Perich international humour Prize and the prize legend (November 2009), Association of booksellers, "by its constant defense of reading and books through his drawings". It is member of Honor of the Association of journalists of Catalonia and holder of the cross of San Jorge. On December 7, 2007 the Spanish Council of Minister awarded him the gold medal for merit in the workplace and in April 2011, the gold medal for merit in the fine arts.
