Martínez Morosini was born while his father was playing for the Arequipa club. As a child, he wanted to be an aviator.

He studied medicine at the University of San Andrés, in La Paz, Bolivia. He did not end up returning to Arequipa to be an announcer on Continental radio .

He married Emma Meza in 1958 and had four children: Humberto, Roberto, Milagros and Marisol. Throughout his long professional career, he fulfilled various tasks: newscaster, sportscaster and commentator, master of ceremonies, entertainer and occasionally actor.

He made his professional debut in 1940 on Radio Arequipa and later on Radio Continental, also from his native land. He was the main announcer of Radio Panamericana since it began broadcasting in 1953, at his location on Belén Street in the historic center of Lima, his voice being the one that identified the radio station. On Peruvian television, he hosted several programs on his own or eventually replacing Pablo de Madalengoitia or other figures of the time. He was in charge of the Cinco Manía program, broadcast daily at 7:00 p.m., and contests such as the letter game, the hidden phrase or proverb, and the Identikit.

In his sports narrations he was known for his popular phrases: Nothing happens here; and El rincon de las ánimas (to refer to the angles of the goal where the goalkeeper cannot reach) and for his popular references to the ball as "the black and white", "the round" or "the vedette".

Main narrator of the newscast El Panamericana together with Dr. Ernesto García Calderón, he was for many Peruvians -for decades- the image of the news on television. The great events of Peru and the world were always transmitted by his well-known voice. The central edition of the newscast was replaced on May 14, 1973 by the new program '24 Horas', with a new journalistic team made up of Ernesto García Calderón, Zenaida Solís and Pepe Ludmir, among others.

Although he worked at Panamericana Televisión and América Televisión, he is identified as a symbol of the former for the more than 35 years he worked at Panamericana. He was the winner of the Astro award, on several occasions, as the best news narrator in Peru. Congressman (2000-2005) In the general elections of 2000 he was invited by Rafael Rey to run for Congress for the Avancemos movement and Morosini was elected Congressman with high votes for the period 2000-2005. He was a member of the Preparatory Board for the 2000 Congress. After the fall of the government of Alberto Fujimori, his parliamentary position was reduced until 2001. He died at the age of 86 on September 23, 2015, two days after it was learned that he was admitted to an emergency clinic in Miraflores after suffering a stroke.
